Fundraising:
Trustee Nick Bettes, one of the 2009 IT4C Volunteer Award winners at the presentation ceremony in London. Nick has been helping us to update our IT systems so that we can offer you quicker, more efficient support from the office. Not only did Nick receive his award, but we received a cheque for £500!
“Thanks to Crossroads we can forget we are carers for a few precious hours a week”
As a small, local charity we have very limited resources to devote to fund-raising. We need your help:
- as a carer who can make donations to us
- as a supporter who can make donations to us on a regular basis
- as a volunteer to organise and help with various fund-raising activities
Members of the Aegean Piano Trio (and the Guildford Porche Sales Manager) resting on one of the raffle prizes for our first Charity Concert in 2008 (loan of a Porche for a week-end). The Concert was a great success, generating £2,000. Thanks to Judy Kennedy (our Office Co-ordinator) for organising this marvellous event.
“Crossroads has enabled me to work part-time, which was a great help with the finances”
Even if you, as a carer, have no spare time, or money, to help, perhaps you know someone else who can help? Maybe family or friends could make a donation to us, or offer to help with one of our regular street collections, or hold a fund-raising event for us (anything from a coffee morning up). Perhaps you could put us in touch with someone in your local church who is involved with outward giving. Or maybe your employer might be interested to hear about our work in their local community
“I couldn’t do this without Crossroads”
Please contact us on enquiries@gwcc.org.uk if you, or someone you know, could help us with our fund-raising activities.
